In many countries throughout the world, girls grow up without ever having the opportunity to attend a school. Religious beliefs prohibit or limit education for women.
Elsewhere social and cultural traditions keep girls at home to do housework, and to raise children and younger siblings while parents work. Oftentimes there are economic and practical limitations that cause girls and young women to stop going to school at an early age so they can work and contribute to the household income.
The mission of the Gud Foundation is to help under-privileged girls achieve an education by supporting institutions that nourish and keep young girls in a safe and loving environment away from abuse, discrimination, neglect or poverty.
Through our assistance, girls have the opportunity to thrive physically, mentally and spiritually. The Gud Foundation aspires to make a positive difference in the lives of those who will most impact tomorrow’s families.
The Gud Foundation provides support in the form of supplies, facility furnishings and improvements, scholarships, instructional materials, and funds for part-time educators in the English language.
